<p>Michelangelo Console war Professor für Botanik am <a href="Botanischer_Garten_Palermo" title="Botanischer Garten Palermo">Botanischen Garten Palermo</a> und arbeitet mit <a href="Charles_Lemaire" title="Charles Lemaire">Charles Lemaire</a> zusammen. 1897 beschrieb er die zu den <a href="Kakteengew%C3%A4chse" title="Kakteengewächse">Kakteengewächsen</a> gehörende Gattung <i><a href="Myrtillocactus" title="Myrtillocactus">Myrtillocactus</a></i>.
